- Now I better understand what is often said by retired folks..."You have to find a reason to get out of bed each morning." I am experiencing this with nothing much to do and no where to go.
This morning I went to my hair salon for a cut...just to make myself feel a little better about how I look...not to anyone else just for me. I was surprised my hair dresser (what a strange name) was open. I asked, "Don't you worry about being soo your clients." She said not really and was taking precautions.
I debated going there but in the end vanity won. I washed my hands and continued on to Trader Joe, greeted my someone holding a handy wipe to clean my hands and the cart. It was totally stocked up. I need to resist over-buying/hoarding "just in case"
So far, the good news today was seeing an interview of someone who had come through the virus already from a cruise and that besides a high fever for a days, a headache, indigestion it was mild. A doctor then added that everyone during the year would probably have a similar experience. OK I can handle that.
It will be interesting to see if and when things are return to "norma;l"...schools gyms theaters opening. How will it be decided?... What is safe? Who determines that? This pandemic reminds that "the powers that be" now have more control over my life then ever before.
